Finance Assistant - Full / Part-time

About you:
An exceptional Finance Assistant with experience of working in a fast-paced transactional finance role. You will demonstrate a mixed skillset, love working part of a team and be willing to help us finetune our processes as we evolve as a scaling business.
What you’ll be doing:
This is a broad role encompassing all of the transactional finance and finance administration activities.
Your responsibilities:
- Managing cash balances and controls on a day-to-day basis.
- Ownership of the purchase ledger.
- Support with the sales ledger finance processes.
- Processing and maintaining controls for expense claims and credit card expenditure.
- Documenting and embedding transactional finance processes and controls.
- Contributing to the design of new processes and controls to meet requirements of the business during the growth and scaling stage.
- Supporting with month end processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Working closely with the commercial & operational teams across the business to provide finance support.
- Being the first point of contact into the finance team and providing efficient and effective customer service for both internal colleagues as well as customers and suppliers.
- Completing ad-hoc analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, finance team projects and wider company decision making.

- Experience of working in a rapidly growing and expanding business.
What success looks like in this role:
- Efficient and effective completion of transactional finance processes and controls.
- Timely and responsive information, support and query resolution are provided to colleagues, customers and suppliers.
- Transactional finance processes and controls are being developed, evolved and implemented to meet the needs of the growing and scaling business.
- Colleagues and external partners have trust and confidence in transactional finance services being provided and offer regular and positive feedback about the service received.

Where you’ll work:
We trust our teams to work remotely, from anywhere in the UK. That said, the Finance team meet weekly in the Exeter office to collaborate and support one another so you’ll need to be willing to travel. There might be times when you’ll need to travel to other UK locations for meetings or events, but these will be planned ahead of time.
