Before you apply...
This role is probably different to other coaching roles you've seen.
We are looking for people with real experience supporting autistic and ADHD individuals. That experience is essential.
You don't need to be a qualified coach. If you're the right person, we'll provide comprehensive coaching training and fund your ILM Level 3 Coaching qualification.
What matters most is that you:
understand neurodivergence through professional experience
can build trusting relationships remotely
enjoy helping people develop confidence and independence
are comfortable working within a structured coaching framework
are happy working regular evening shifts to meet the needs of our users.
If you're looking for the freedom to work autonomously or outside of our internal coaching methodology, this probably isn't the right role.
If you enjoy delivering consistent, evidence-based coaching that genuinely changes lives, we'd love to hear from you.
About Brain in Hand
Brain in Hand combines practical digital tools with human coaching to help autistic and ADHD people thrive at work, in education and in everyday life.
Everything we do is designed around real-world outcomes. Our coaching helps people develop strategies, build confidence and become more independent.
Over a third of our colleagues are neurodivergent themselves, giving us a deep understanding of the people we support.
We're proud to have been recognised as one of the Times Best Places to Work.
The role
As a Coach, you'll work remotely with people across the UK, helping them overcome barriers, build practical strategies and make progress towards their goals.
Our coaching is structured, solution-focused and consistent. We have developed our own coaching framework because we know it delivers positive outcomes for our users.
You'll receive extensive training in our approach before managing your own caseload.
A typical day includes:
delivering 4-5 coaching sessions
helping users develop practical strategies
supporting people to use the Brain in Hand app
recording accurate coaching notes
working closely with colleagues to ensure users receive safe, consistent support.
This is a busy role where you'll balance meaningful conversations with good organisation and high-quality record keeping.
Working pattern
Our users often need support outside traditional office hours, so evening availability is an essential part of this role.
Your core working pattern will typically be:
Monday: 12:00-20:30
Tuesday: 12:00-20:30
Wednesday: 12:00-20:30
Thursday: 12:00-20:30
Friday: 12:00-20:30
We may be able to offer some flexibility, but you must be able to work regular evening shifts until 8:30pm.
